Privacy notice
Your information, in plain words.
Lisso is getting ready to launch. This notice explains what we collect on this website, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated 13 October 2026
Who we are
Lisso is based in Ontario, Canada (“Lisso”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us about privacy at hello@lisso.ai.
What we collect
- Early access. Your email address, and the topics you choose if you tell us what you’re curious about.
- Nominations. The name of the person you nominate, what they do, why you think they’re worth listening to, a link to their public social profile if you add one, and your email if you choose to give it.
- Recordings. Your name, email, the title you give your Lisso, and the audio you record or upload. Your recording may include your voice and anything you say in it.
- Basic technical information. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site.
How we use it
- To email you about Lisso’s launch and early access, and to shape your first listens around the topics you pick.
- To review nominations and decide whether to invite someone to share on Lisso.
- To review recordings for possible publication. Nothing is published without editorial review, and we will contact you before your recording appears on Lisso.
- To keep the site working and secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your consent and emails
When you sign up for early access, you agree that we can email you about Lisso. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by writing to hello@lisso.ai. Withdrawing consent won’t affect anything we did before you asked.
About people who are nominated
If someone nominates you, we use the information they shared only to consider inviting you. We never contact anyone on a nominator’s behalf or publish names without review. If you’d like us to delete a nomination about you, email us and we will.
Where your information is stored
This site and its forms are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which stores information on servers in the United States. Your information may be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in the countries where it is stored. We use service providers only to run Lisso, and we require them to protect your information.
How long we keep it
We keep early-access emails until Lisso launches and for as long as you stay subscribed. We keep nominations and recordings we don’t use for up to 12 months after review, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@lisso.ai and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Lisso’s early access is for people aged 16 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this notice
As Lisso grows, this notice will change. We’ll update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we’ll tell people on our early-access list.
